Dr. Shani S. Saks, DO, MS, FACOI, is an experienced cardiologist specializing in general cardiology and internal medicine. She obtained her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital, where she served as Chief Medicine Resident. Dr. Saks furthered her training with a three-year invasive cardiology fellowship at the same institution.

With a strong commitment to patient education and preventative medicine, Dr. Saks is dedicated to reducing the risk of heart disease, particularly in women’s health. Due to her family history of premature heart disease, she advocates for early intervention and heads the Women’s Heart and Wellness Program at Abrazo Heart Institute.

Her expertise includes treating conditions such as high cholesterol, diabetes, heart disease, and chest pain, with a special focus on acute coronary syndrome, heart blocks, high blood pressure, and unstable angina. Dr. Saks has received numerous honors and awards throughout her career and is a Certified Internist by the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners.
